Aluminium tense scrap prices inched down d-o-d to INR 172,500/t ex-Delhi. LME futures stood at $2,594/t, owing to excess inventories in the automobile sector, which led to lower demand for scrap. Moreover, China’s silicon export offers for the 553 grade were heard stable at $1,660-1,670/t FOB, and talk scrap from the EU was reportedly at 52.75% LME CIF Mundra.
