Aluminium scrap prices fell by up to INR 2,000/t today. Market participants saw a nominal correction in domestic scrap prices today despite a slight improvement in exchange prices. The key factors behind the correction were better availability and slow buying enquiries for alloy ingots. Aluminium tense scrap prices are at INR 170,000/t ($2,219/t), while extrusion prices stood at INR 201,000/t ($2,624/t) exy Delhi, excluding GST.
