Alang’s shipbreaking scrap prices moved up by INR 100/t, d-o-d, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 35,700-35,800/t, while attachment scrap prices stand at INR 36,700-800/t despite marginal correction in semi-finished steel prices. Inadequate melting scrap availability at ship scrapyards is supporting the price level today.
