Alang’s shipbreaking melting scrap prices witnessed a considerable hike of INR 400/t, d-o-d, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 35,700/t, while attachment scrap prices stand at INR 36,700/t. Semi-finished steel prices rose considerably yesterday up by up to INR 600/t, especially in the Gujarat market which resulted in a parallel hike in melting scrap prices.
