Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market inched up by INR 300/t on a d-o-d basis. Heavy Melting Scrap (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 39,500/t while attachment scrap prices stand at INR 40,500/t. SteelMint indicated that prices may recover in a couple of days to a certain level as the market saw slight improvement in sentiments and finished steel movement particularly rebar, SteelMint notes.
