Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market increased further by INR 200/t d-o-d, as per SteelMint assessment. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 43,400/t ex-yard. Suppliers hiked offers on the back of rising semi-finished steel prices in yesterday’s session and moderate buying interest for scrap by Bhavnagar-based induction furnace mills, sources informed.
