BigMint’s weekly assessment for sponge iron export offers decreased this week by $3-$10/t, owing to varying domestic market sentiments and w-o-w volatility in prices. Leading export prices declined to $409/t CPT Raxaul for FeM 80% (70:30 mix) destined for Nepal, and to $405/t CPT Benapole for Bangladesh. Despite the price drop, sales volumes remained robust, with approximately 13,000 t of sponge iron sold to Nepal and about 8,500 t directed towards Bangladesh.
