India: About 8,000 t sponge iron sold in Raipur, Chhattisgarh

SteelMint’s price assessment for sponge P-DRI (FeM 80%) fell by INR 800/t to INR 40,000/t exw-Raipur. Demand improved after prices dropped.
About 5,700 t of deals of FeM 80% material were reported at INR 40,000-40,300/t exw while about 2,300 t of FeM 78% material was concluded by mills-based outside the state at INR 39,600-39,800/t DAP Raipur.
DR CLO grade sponge iron was traded at INR 43,000-43,200/t exw.
