India: About 8,000 t of sponge iron deals being reported from Bellary, Karnataka

Deals of 3,900 t pellet-based DRI (PDRI) were confirmed at INR 34,400-34,500/t exw against offers at INR 34,600/t exw.
Deals of 4,100 t were reported for lumps-based DRI (CDRI) at around INR 35,000-35,100/t exw.
Trades improved in the expectation of price hike as most of the manufacturers are running mills below par value amid higher offers of coal.
