India: About 5,000 t of sponge iron sold in Raipur, prices edge up

SteelMint’s price assessment for sponge P-DRI (FeM 80%) inched up by INR 200/t to INR 36,200/t exw-Raipur on account of active demand and rising billets prices.
About 5,000 t of deals of FeM 80% material were reported, out of which, deals from Raigarh-based plants were reported at INR 35,800-36,000/t DAP Raipur, while Raipur-based plants confirmed deals at INR 36,200-36,400/t exw. However, a few bids were also reported at INR 36,000-36,100/t exw-Raipur.
