India: 7,000 t sponge iron deals concluded to Nepal

One rake of sponge iron (2,500 t) was concluded at $555-560/t LTW, eastern India, equivalent to $575/tonnes (t) CPT Nepal.
4,000-5,000 t of pellet-based DRI (PDRI) deals were also confirmed at $530/t ex-mill Durgapur basis, equivalent to $550-$555 CPT Nepal.
With these fresh deals, SteelMint’s price assessment increased by $25/t, w-o-w to $575/t, CPT Nepal, (FeM 80%, lumps 70%, fines 30%).
