According to the state government officials, the 3rd Goan e-auction of 0.6 MnT Iron ore will be conducted on 10 May, 2014.
“The e-auctioning of 0.6 MnT Iron ore, which is lying at jetties & Mormugao Port Trust (MPT) would be held on 10 May, 2014,” State Director of Mines & Geology Prasanna Acharya said.
The department issued the notification for the same today, giving 12 days time to the bidders to put their claims for e-auctioning.
The state had already e-auctioned 1.61 MnT of ore on 17 Feb & 05 Mar, 2014 collecting revenue of INR 260.68 crore.

Spot Iron ore prices in China fall by USD 8-10/MT in last few trading sessions. Speaking to Indian exporters SteelMint assessed that current price for Fe 58% with high Silica & Alumina content would be around USD 85-87/MT CFR China.
