India: 20,000 t of Venezuelan pet coke arrives at Mormugao Port

In a confirmed deal, 20,000 t of Venezuelan pet coke that has arrived at Mormugao Port was booked at $220/t CFR India two months back. Current prices of US-origin pet coke (6.5% sulphur) are at $250/t CFR India, while Saudi-origin (8.5% sulphur) prices are at $241/t. In line with global thermal coal, pet coke prices have remained steep over the last few months.
