Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) held an auction for 2,000 t (one rake) of steel grade pig iron on 23 Mar’22 from the Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) in Jharkhand. Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 59,800/t exw. Prices increased by INR 1,150/t compared to the auction held on 16 March. In another auction from SAIL-Durgapur, around 700 t of pig iron booked at INR 60,800/t exw.
