India: Only 11% Iron Ore sold in Karnataka E-auction

MSTC has declared the results of e-auction held on 13 Feb, 2015. Out of the total offered quantity i.e. 0.37 MnT, only 0.04 MnT Iron ore was sold.

Iron ore e-auction held on 13 Feb’15 received an underwhelming response as out of 0.37 MnT Iron ore offered, only 0.04 MnT was sold. The material was offered by private miners namely RBSSN Sankalapuram Iron Ore Mines, V N K Menon and Nadeem Minerals.

The e-auction fetched flat bids. Base & bid prices for fines (Fe 55) stood at INR 1,200/MT. While, lump (Fe 52) prices stood at INR 1,800/MT. Subgrade fines (Fe 45%) prices remain unchanged at INR 200/MT.
