Imported scrap prices in Turkey have dropped further by $20 in a deal concluded recently, sources have reported to SteelMint. A Turkey-based steelmaker has booked around 30,000 t of USA origin bulk cargo. The cargo comprises 6,500t of HMS 1&2 (80:20) at $450/t, 22,000t of shredded at $460/t, and 1,500t of bonus at $460/t CFR basis. The cargo shipment would be in late February-early March’21.
