Imported ferrous scrap offers from Europe and Africa have been stable in Indian market said importers.
“Current offers for shredded scrap stands at $ 400-405/t CFR Mumbai from Europe where as HMS 1&2 is being offered in the range of $390/t CFR Mumbai. Shredded scrap on Indian east coast unchanged at $408/t CFR Haldia.” said an importer based in Mumbai.
Scrap prices in International market looked to have bottomed out in Turkey and US said market participants. Offers for HMS stands at around $315-320/t FOB US and around $360/t CFR Turkey.
