IIOPDS : NMDC Likely to Start Iron ore Production from Deposit 13 in FY21

India’s largest iron ore producer – National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) is all set to ramp up its iron ore production to 67 MnT by FY25.

Mr M Mahadevan from NMDC highlighted that NMDC is likely to start iron ore production from it’s Deposit 13 mines in Chhattisgarh. The company expects the mine to produce 2 MnT iron ore in FY21 and will increase it further to 10 MnT by FY25.

This mine is jointly developed by NMDC and CMDC (Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation) . Adani has been appointed Mine Development Operator (MDO) for it.
