IDCOL floats tender for HC ferrochrome; expect higher bids, say experts

IDCOL, Odisha has invited sealed bids for sale of HC
ferrochrome 60% which will be closed i.e. 11^th Feb.

The quantity to be offered in the tender are as follows:

HCFC (4/8) Lumps- 1100 MT (approx)

HCFC (2/8) Lumps- 150 MT (approx)

HCFC Chips –   50MT
(approx) 

HCFC Slag Touch- 75MT (approx) 

The previous tender in January had fetched higher bids &
was settled at 65,888/MT (Basic) Ex-IFCAL. “Looking at the improved prices in
the market due to short supply of ferrochrome, it is believed that
the February tender will again fetch higher bids”, say industry experts.
