Hyundai Steel raises bid price for Japanese scrap by up to JPY 6,500 ($61)

South Korean mill – Hyundai Steel has increased its bid price for Japanese scrap by up to JPY 6,500/t after two weeks, SteelMint learned from its credible sources. The bid for H2 is now set at JPY 40,500/t ($382) FoB level, up by JPY 5,500/t ($52) against last bid which on 28th Jan’21. However, bids for higher grades have increased by JPY 6,500/t. Japanese scrap export offers have strengthened on active buying from China, Bangladesh & Vietnam.
