Sunday (03.06.2012) onwards Indefinite power cut in Kothur Industrial area has been announced that leads the offer of Ingot prices up by Rs.1000/t. Ingot prices quoting at Rs 34000/t and Sponge prices trading at Rs.21500-22000/t.
Sponge Iron shortage also witnessed across south region due to non availability of Iron ore and pellets. Plant like BMM, MSPL are closed due to Iron ore shortage, where as Xindia steel is supplying pellet sponge in the region.
