HNL has issued a tender asking supply of non-coking coal from imported and indigenous sources. Sealed bids to be invited in two parts.
HNL, A subsidiary of Hindustan Paper Corporation Ltd has called for sealed bids from eligible bidders for supply of 50000 Mt non-coking coal from imported / indigenous sources. Last date of receipt of sealed bids and opening date for techno-commercial bid will be 29 July’15.
According to norms, delivery of material should commence within 25 days of date of receipt of purchase order/LOI for a period, mutually decided by HNL and coal supplier.

Non-coking Coal Import in India
Till latest updates, India has imported about 46.3 MnT of non-coking coal in Q1
FY16 against Q1 FY15, registering a growth of about 6%. Indonesia contributed to about 72% of total non-coking coal import in FY16.
