After some bulk purchases from past few days by Turkish mills, buying
activities remain quite in the country. Over 30 deep sea cargoes were booked
from last week. Offers for HMS (80:20) remain unchanged at $380/CFR Turkey.
“We are looking after the domestic market now. We have sufficient stock
and we are in no hurry to book material further”, said a supplier based in
Turkey.
In addition, ferrous scrap offers in South East Asia have inched up for
the first time since May.
Reportedly, a deal was concluded for some small cargoes of around 2,000
MT of HMS 1&2 (80:20) from US at $390-395/MT CFR i.e. up by $5/MT CFR from last week.
