HMS scrap offers to
Indian importers stay at $400-410/MT CFR depending on the quality and origin of
the material.
In a recent deal, HMS
1 was heard being sold at $415/MT CFR for around 450 MT from a Dubai yard owner
based in Kandla.
According to him, “Buyers
are ready to procure the material at $420/MT CFR for HMS 1 grade, but lesser
supply has restricted them to book any deals. Sentiments in the Indian imported scrap
market is likely to improve in line with the Turkish buyers activities ahead of
Ramadan.”
Offers for HMS (80:20)
are hovering at $400-410/MT CFR in India, based on the qualities and the
origins of the material.
A supplier is offering
HMS 1 at $430/MT CFR Mumbai (shipment to be reached 2 weeks later) but failed
to find any buyer at such price.
