Heavy structural steel manufacturers in Raipur hiked prices by INR 700/t today. The current offer for 150mm channel stands at INR 54,500/t exw. The rise in steel billet prices in central India due to shortage in the spot market provided support to suppliers to raise offers. However, moderate trades were witnessed yesterday and discounts offered by the suppliers are hovering around INR 1,200-1,500/t, sources informed.
