The Finance Minister has informed that around 90 ship recycling yards have won the Hong Kong International Convention (HKC) for the safe and environmentally sound recycling of ships. Now, more ships from Japan and Europe will be beached at the Alang yard for recycling. This will double the recycling capacity of the Alang ship breaking yard by 2024.
