Goa DMG to Auction 2.37 MnT Iron Ore via 14th E-auction

DMG, Goa has scheduled 14th iron ore e-auction. 2.37 MnT iron ore will be put under hammer in 39 lots. However, Goa govt. has yet not released the date for the 14th e-auction.

Major share of the offered quantity consists of ROM. The offer comprises of 2.18 MnT ROM, 0.19 MnT fines and 0.001 MnT lump. Iron ore fines that will be offered in the upcoming e-auction ranges from grade Fe 56-64%, lump ranges from grade Fe 55-60% and ROM ranges from grade Fe 27-64%.

1.94 MnT of the offered iron ore belongs to Vedanta’s Codli mine. 0.06 MnT quantity out of the offered material belongs to Bicholim mines of Vedanta. As majority of offered quantity belongs to those of Vedanta, thus it is expected that Vedanta will remain a prominent buyer in the scheduled e-auction.

8.04 MnT of the mined ore yet to be sold

Till the e-auctions held on 04 Nov’15, Goa DMG has managed to sell only 7.06 MnT of the already mined iron ore lying at mines, jetties and stock yards. Thus, there is still around 8.04 MnT of the mined ore to be disposed by the Goa govt.

Previous e-auction (i.e. 13th e-auction) conducted by Goa DMG on 04th Nov’15 received a dull response with only 15% of the offered quantity being sold.
