Goa DMG has recently issued notification to stop illegal stoppage of transportation in the state.
Earlier, incidents have been reported in the state wherein trucks carrying e-auctioned iron ore have been stone pelted to stop transportation from mines to jetties. This resulted in obstruction in iron ore transportation activities.
Looking at this Goa DMG has issued notification to act sternly against illegal acts of obstruction in legal mining activities or transportation or storage.
Low grade iron ore exports from Goa are likely to pick up in the coming fiscal post export duty relief and rise in global prices. In FY16, Goan iron ore exports have been recorded at 2.7 MnT (till Feb’16).
