205,690 MT iron ore was sold via 13th Goa iron ore e-auction. Vedanta remained the major buyer and procured 87% of the allotted quantity.
13th Goa iron ore e-auction held on 04 Nov’15 received a dull response. Out of 1,350,130 MT iron ore offered only 205,690 MT (i.e. 15% of the offered quantity) was sold.
There were only 2 bidders in the e-auction. Vedanta procured 178,340 MT iron ore and remained the major buyer.

While, lots containing fines fetched decent response from the bidders, lump and ROM failed to attract good response from bidders.
All the lots received flat bids
- The lot containing 51,980 MT fines (Fe 61%) located at Codli mines was base priced at INR 500/MT. It received bids at its base price of INR 500/MT
- Lot containing ROM (Fe 60%) located at Amona plant received bids at INR 500/MT
- Lot containing lump (Fe 58%) located at Rivona mine received bids at INR 500/MT
