World Steel Association (WSA) forecasted increased global steel demand by 1.7% y-o-y for CY’24 to 1.793 bnt against 1.763 bnt in CY’23, followed by 1.2% y-o-y increase in CY’25. “There are early signs of global steel demand recovery in 2024 and 2025, following two years of decline and market volatility triggered by the Covid crisis in 2020,” as per Chairman of the Worldsteel Economics Committee.
