With the recent trade figures released by various major Global Ferro Chrome exporters and importers it can be seen that the top 5 exporters and importers of Ferro chrome have a large contribution out of the total exports and imports of Ferro chrome.
Exporting Countries
South Africa:
South Africa one of major exporters of Ferro-chrome products, exported 3.9 MnT during CY’16, reporting a increase of 8% in its exports as compared to CY’15 where the country exported around 3.6 MnT.
Kazakhstan:
Kazakhstan, exported 1.2 MnT in CY’16 with a change of 21 % upwards in its exports from CY’15 where the country exported 1 MnT of Ferro-chrome products.
India:
The country’s exports of Ferro-chrome products dipped 21% in CY’16 as they exported 0.46 MnT. And they had exported 0.58 MnT in CY’15.
Zimbabwe:
Zimbabwe exported 0.17 MnT of Ferro-chrome products in CY’16. The exports in CY’16 were more by 17% from CY2015 exports where the country exported 0.15 MnT.
Turkey:
Turkey registered an increase with high margin of 71% in its exports of Ferro-chrome products as the country exported 0.13 MnT in CY’16 as compared to 0.07 MnT Ferro-chrome products export in CY 2015.
Importing Countries–
- China, was the largest importer of Ferro-chrome products with a increment in their imports by 6% in CY’16 as they imported 2.78 MnT of Ferro-chrome as compared to CY’15 imports amounting 2.62 MnT.
- The imports of Ferro-chrome products in Japan increased by 2% in CY’16, the country imported around 0.74 MnT as compared to the import of 0.72 MnT in CY’15.
- Import of Ferro-chrome products in the USA were up by 26% for CY’16 as they imported around 0.59 MnT as compared to 0.47 MnT import in CY’2015.
- South Korea saw a upward movement of 4% in its imports of Ferro-chrome products after importing 0.57 MnT in CY’16 in lieu of 0.55 MnT import in CY’15.
- France imported 0.09 MnT in Cy’16 dipping by 18% as the country imported 0.1 MnT of semi-finished products in CY’15.
