Global crude steel production falls 6%, y-o-y, in June – WSA

Crude steel output of the 64 countries tracked by the World Steel Association (WSA) fell by 5.9% y-o-y to 158.1 mnt in Jun’22. However, production dropped 7% as against 169.5 mnt in May.

• China produced 90.7 mnt, down 3.3% y-o-y.
• India’s production increased 6.3% y-o-y to 10 mnt.
• Japan’s production declined by 8.1% y-o-y to 7.4 mnt.
