Global crude steel production drops by 1.9% y-o-y in Apr’26 – WSA

Global crude steel production declined by 1.9% y-o-y to 153.4 mnt in Apr’26, according to the World Steel Association (WSA).

• China‘s production dropped by 2.8% y-o-y to 83.6 mnt.
• India‘s output rose by 3.9% y-o-y to 13.8 mnt.
• USA‘s production increased by 9.4% y-o-y to 7.2 mnt.
