Global crude steel production declines by 6% y-o-y in Oct’25 – WSA

Global crude steel production declined by 5.9% y-o-y to 143.3 mnt in Oct’25, as per the World Steel Association (WSA). However, the same inched up by 1% m-o-m against 141.8 mnt in Sep’25.

• China’s output dropped by 12.1% y-o-y to 72 mnt.
• India’s production rose by 5.9% y-o-y to 13.6 mnt.
• Japan’s output inched down by 1% y-o-y to 6.9 mnt.
