Global aluminium production inches up y-o-y in CY’22

Global aluminium production inched up by 2% y-o-y to 68.41 mnt in CY’22, according to data of the International Aluminium Institute (IAI).
China accounted for a significant share of 58% in global production at 40.38 mnt, an increase of 4% y-o-y.
Production stood at 5.85 mnt in Dec’22, an increase of 3.5% m-o-m against 5.65 mnt in the previous month.
