According to the latest data from the International Aluminium Institute (IAI), the aluminium production in Feb’24 has dipped, reaching 5.54 mnt, marking a 8% decrease from 6.03 mnt, m-o-m. Conversely, production witnessed a rise of 5.4% y-o-y from 5.26 mnt in February 2023. Notably, China, as the primary alumina producer, accounted for 3.237 mnt, indicating a 9% decrease from the preceding month’s 3.585 mnt.
