Global alumina production rises over 4% m-o-m in Oct’24: IAI

The latest data from the International Aluminium Institute (IAI) indicated that global alumina production in Oct’24 stood at 12.606 mnt, a rise of 4.8% as compared to 12.030 mnt in Sep’24. On a y-o-y basis, output increased by 4%, with 12.170 mnt produced in Oct’23. In China, alumina production was reported at 7.360 mnt in Oct, edging up by 2% from the previous month’s 7.210 mnt.
