Global alumina production increases by over 7%, m-o-m, in March

Global primary alumina production rose by 7.42% in Mar’22 to 10.86 mnt against 10.11 mnt in Feb, as per International Aluminium Institute (IAI) data.
China was the largest producer at an estimated 5.77 mnt, accounting for 53% of global production.
The combined production of Asia (excluding China) and Africa stood at 1.09 mnt in Mar, a growth of around 1% compared with 1.08 mnt in the previous month.
