Global alumina production down marginally m-o-m in Aug – IAI

Global alumina production dropped by 1.12% m-o-m to 11.94 mnt in Aug’22 against 12.07 mnt in the previous month, data from the International Aluminium Institute (IAI) shows.
China accounted for a major share of 58.19% in global production at 6.95 mnt.
World’s daily average alumina production stood at 385,300 t, down marginally by 1.1% from 389,600 t in June.
