Gimpex Ltd, a trading firm and star exporter based in Chennai is to load 8,000 tonnes of Mill Scale cargo from Chennai port according to trade sources. India's export of Mill Scale has gone up in recent time on depreciating Rupee and rising spot prices in Chinese market. Vessel is expected to get berth on 28th August 2013
SteelMint assessed that current offers for Mill Scale from Indian exporters are hovering in the range of USD 125-126/DMT for CFR China main port in bulk shipment.
Unlike Iron ore, mill scale does not attract any export duty or differential freight charge.In domestic market Mill Scale is trading at Rs 5,600-5,800/MT delivered Vizag port.
