Germany, one of the largest Pig iron importer has imported 64,537 MT Pig iron in Sept’16 according to trade statistics released by European Union Customs .
Germany Pig iron imports have registered a growth of 65% M-o-M in Sept’16 against 39,214 MT in Sept’16. On similar lines, imports increased by 91% Y-o-Y against 33,872 MT in Sept’15.
In the first nine months of 2016, the country’s imports were registered at 439,252 MT, slightly down by 3% as compared to 453,483 MT in the same time period prior this year.
Country’s imports majority of Pig iron from Netherlands, Russia, Belgium, Austria etc. In Sept’16, imports from Netherlands was registered at 44,206 MT, Russia 3,502 MT, Belgium 6,878 MT and Austria imports remained at 3,818 MT.
