Ferrous
scrap offers to Turkish mills inched up on Monday on the back of some fresh deals from UK
based suppliers.
Reportedly,
a cargo of around 30,000 MT of HMS 1 & HMS (80:20) was sold at $393/MT CFR
and $380/MT CFR respectively. It is also reported that mills are looking for
material at $375-380/MT CFR from US suppliers.
Turkish
mills now will hold the positions in the market ahead of 5 days holiday in the
country and they are expected to hold off until the end of the holiday. Prices
might slip by another $5/MT CFR for HMS (80:20).
Late
last week, another deal was confirmed for A3 scrap at $365/MT CFR for 3,000 MT,
up by $10/MT CFR from earlier week.
