India imported about 465,000 MT of ferrous scrap in Oct’15. Mundra port remained amongst top five scrap importing ports in India, while Kandla port slipped to twelfth rank.
Mundra port recorded import of about 38,318 MT with a bulk shipment of 15,000 MT from South Africa. While, Kandla port recorded imports of about 7,919 MT scrap in Oct’15.
