Ferrochrome producers to pay higher electricity tariff in Inner Mongolia than was expected?

Inner-Mongolia, the largest ferrochrome producing region in China will put more weightage on the electricity limit rather than complete shutdown for furnaces of 25,000kVA and below. It is expected that a levy of RMB 0.1/t would be imposed for each kWh consumed. However, there is no formal notice issued on the electricity limit yet but in view of the decent profits in ferrochrome production, both the approaches of either adding power tariff and total shutdown will have a significant impact.
