The seaborne Ferro Silicon market was relatively calm with buyers expressing some hesitance in what they deemed a stable market.
Bhutan Ferro Silicon prices remain unchanged for the second week. Currently the price of Ferro Silicon (grade 70-75%) is hovering between INR 76,000 – 77,000 /MT. Deals were heard to be concluded from Bhutan for other countries such as Italy and Germany. A source revealed that they have concluded deals at around USD 1300 /MT FOB Bhutan.
In line with the stable prices in Bhutan, Indian producers have also kept the prices firm. In Guwahati Ferro Silicon (grade70-75) is being offered at around INR 74-500-75,000 /MT.
Sources told SteelMint that in the near future prices to remain stable in Bhutan, as power prices have increased in Bhutan and power shortage is expected in winter months.Secondly the logistical costs have will also increase due to the onset of the winter season owing to which prices to remain firm.
