Merafe, a major producer of ferro chrome in South Africa, has announced that the European benchmark ferro chrome price for Q3CY22 will be at 180 cents/lb, a decrease of 16.7% from the second quarter of 2022. The downtrend in China’s ferro chrome spot prices and lackluster stainless steel market led to cut in European benchmark prices.
