As per sources, Odisha based major merchant miner, Essel Mining, has cut iron ore prices by upto INR 400/MT w.e.f 11 Aug’15. However, company officials were not available to confirm the reduction in prices.
Prices of lump obtained from Koira Mines has witnessed reduction while its other 2 mines, namely Jilling-Langalota and Kasia, are non-operational. The miner produced 0.73 MnT in H1 2015 and sold 0.80 MnT. Iron ore dispatches amounted to 0.12 MnT in July’15.
