Essar Steel: Pellet Production Up 99% Y-o-Y in Q3 FY17

Company’s pellet production stood at 7.04 MnT pellets in Apr-Dec’16, up 82% against the same period last year.

Essar Steel – an integrated steelmaker with steel making capacity of 10 MnT pa has registered 99% Y-o-Y growth in its quarterly pellet production. Its pellet production has increased from 1.30 MnT in Q3 FY16 to 2.59 MnT in Q3 FY17.

However comparing on quarterly basis (i.e. compared to Q2 FY17) growth of 7% can be noticed in its pellet production. In Q2 FY17, Essar Steel produced 2.43 MnT pellets.

So far in this fiscal (till Dec’16), Essar Steel’s pellet production stood at 7.04 MnT, higher by 82% against 3.86 MnT in the same period last fiscal.

Essar Steel’s pellet exports in FY17 – Essar Steel exported 0.41 MnT pellets in Q3 FY17 against 0.53 MnT in the previous quarter (i.e. Q2 FY17). So far in this fiscal (till Dec’16), the company has exported 1 MnT pellets.
