Tata Metaliks (TML) has resumed production operations at one of its blast furnaces from 25 Oct’20, which had gone for repair & maintenance on 19 Sep’20. With the resumption of operations, the supply of pig iron would improve in north-east regions. Tata Metaliks is one of the major foundry-grade pig iron manufacturers in eastern India having a hot metal capacity of 5.5 lakh tonnes pa, of which 2.5 lakh tonnes are converted to DI pipes and the remaining is used for pig iron.
