Pig iron prices in Durgapur, eastern India rallied by INR 500/t to INR 29,000/t exw, up sharply by INR 1,000/t, w-o-w, SteelMint learned. Improved demand for pig iron, especially in northern India due to the recent halt in rake movement in Punjab, has lifted up the prices, major merchant producers of Durgapur reported.
